Unofficial Voting Data By District

The City today >posted the district-by-district voting information. Just to begin to get my mind around it better, I created a spreadsheet out of it and posted it here.
You might need a map of the districts to make sense of the data, though it is not absolutely required.
The information on the spreadsheet is in two sections: first by actual votes, then by vote share. I also created a couple of charts. As I create more charts, I will update the spreadsheet.
I am happy to add to the spreadsheet, if you want to suggest improvements.

How about showing the registered voters count (and percent voting) in each district.>
It’d also be interesting to see, of the voters how many voted for each council member in each district. For Example 330 people in district 10 voted for Gajewski out of 463(?) voters. So 71% of people in district 10 voted for Gajewski. I think this gives a better idea of each candidates impact in each district.
The data you are looking for is on the city web site. You can get the total number of registered voters and the numbers for each voting district. For example, district 10 (King Farm) had 3380 registered voters but only 465 (13.8%) voted. There were 1699 votes cast for council members, which means, as usual, not every one voted for 4 candidates. About 10% of the available votes for councilwere wasted…not used.
I have to think about adding the % you are talking about, Chris. There may be a reason it would not provide the overall sense you are after — which, if I understand it, is just a sense of how important certain candidates were in certain districts.>
In any event, I did add a tab to the spreadsheet that shows turnout by district.
Chris, the maximum percentage for any one candidate, as formatted, is 25%, so you can use that as an approximate standard. Of course, not counting including a districts undervote will push up everyones percentage but not by much. For example, Carl Henn got 338 of 2156 votes in district 1 or 15.68%. If one adds the 184 undervotes his percentage is 14.44% or 57.7% of the available City Council votes in district 1.>

I understand the number being displayed, I just think the 58 percentage is more easily understood. 57% of people in district 1 voted for Carl instead of Carl received 14% of the available votes. It also makes it easier to compare correlations with the mayoral votes.
