I sat through an hour of the 5:00 news – at least four fires, and assorted other news. Finally they promo’d -us — “coming up next..” But then it was over and no story. I figured we lost out to the birds. Yes, one of the fires was at a PetsMart where a vet was cocerned about birds having inhaled too much smoke; and another story on too many birds congregating and, yep, pooping all over some place in Virginia.

Then, of course, I had to go out – to what else, pick up a kid – so I set Tivo to record just in case. But since I am Tivo-challenged, when I got back for some reason all I had recorded was the last nano-second of the piece.

But I have a report we did well and it was good enough for UTube!!
