Mailing Service Moves To Sir Speedy
Almost a year ago today, >Rockville Central friend and contributor Jennifer Ramarui wrote a wonderful review of what had become a small institution in and of itself: the satellite post office that Roger Miller had been running at Rockville Art And Frame.
Since that time, sadly, the Art and Frame store had closed and many readers shared with me their concern about where they would go for their postal fix — yet without actually going into the post office. (Seems some people have a problem with that, though I myself don’t suffer from it.)
But, with a few deft moves, Roger’s operation has been able to move and is now up and running at the Sir Speedy along N. Washington Street. In order to be allowed to make the move, a number of supportive residents as well as Council Member Anne Robbins, City Manager Scott Ullery, and others registered their approval.
Rockville central friend Joe Jordan let me know the news:
“Roger is open for business at Sir Speedy. He closed the frame shop. I was in this morning, and if not for the opportunity to chat with Roger and a few customers, I would have been in and out in minutes. Roger said he didn’t think Federal Realty will be allowed to charge for parking there, but I did notice they have a guard to monitor the parking situation.”
Congratulations Roger!
