‘Member that whole Move the Court House thingy? Well, it’s still going strong, I understand. I was just reminded of it whe nI took this photo, because this is the interior of the old Giant grocery store (the green pushpin on the map linked to) — you know, the one folks were suggesting might be a better court house site, instead of smack dab next to a school for young children.

The triangle north of town center is meant to be a further extension of the center! Seems a little late in the process to move the courthouse.

It seems this site has become a vehicle for pushing the mayor and council’s views. Where’d the objectivity go? Put back the ‘fair’ in the Fair City you mention!

Re: “fairness.” We are always upfront about our opinions when we have them, BUT we always encourage others to respond. If you follow the ‘courthouse” link in the caption, you will easily see that, while we’ve never been shy about expressing our position, we have included the voices of those who are on the other side.>

We try not to pretend to offer “objectivity,” which is the business of newspapers. Instead, we offer fairness, openness and transparency. I think we more than deliver that.

Please feel free to disagree and — if you feel strongly enough about it — to create your own similar site. Rockville Central has no special monopoly; it is completely volunteer and it is built using free tools that anyone can use. We would be delighted to have you join us!
