A friend of my son was to receive an award for his participation in a photo project that is currently displayed at City Hall, with a reception prior to the meeting. ><br/><br/>This Mayor and Council COMPLETELY DISREGARDED all of these young peoples hard work by doing the following things : <br/>1. Not showing up to the reception, when they were invited. The kids noticed. <br/>2. Going on for almost one hour on the City Managers notes when there were CLEARLY dozens of youth there to support their friends, not once noticing the growing uneasiness in the room as people started to leave. <br/>3. When finally giving the award JOKING about how people had left when it was time to receive their award. Even though it was well after 40 minutes late according to the agenda. <br/><br/>This Mayor and Council has lost touch with their constituents and single handedly turned off over 40 teenagers to local politics. These kids deserve an apology from each member of the council. They deserve to have their moment given back to them. I was going to let this go until I saw it on Channel 11.
