POTD: The Striking Celestial Trio
>
This wonderful shot is by Rockville Central friend and frequent POTD contributor Alain Menguy, taken on Monday night when you could see the moon, Venus, and Jupiter all together (upper right). Of the photo, Alain says: “The Moon-Jupiter-Venus show was underway this evening in the sky of our fair city. And it was really spectacular! Looks like we won’t see its kind for another 44 years.”

Wow, what a spectacular photo! Would love to hear more details about how it was taken/modified. Or not — maybe it’s enough just to look at it and admire. Really nice work.
Ooh, what an awesome shot!
