Events In Rockville 1/8/09-1/18/09
>Pick of the Week
The Montgomery County Commission for Women Counseling & Career Center offers many different workshops and seminars on every aspect of a woman’s life and there are quite a few listed this week. We’re lucky the Center is conveniently located right here in Rockville at 401 N. Washington Street, Suite 100. For years I’ve noticed that it’s easy to find information on divorce, but affordable help to strengthen marriages is not as readily available. This week an extended version of the Couples Communication class is offered in addition to the divorce workshops. You can also Learn How to Achieve A Successful Life on Monday, January 12, 2009.

His old fingers are beginning to fail him, but he’s still got a song in his heart and lots of stories to tell. Don’t miss the one about the first blues man, The Great One, who met a certain Man in White at a crossroads, or about a young fella who loved blues so much he married it and had a baby named rock and roll. Some stories are true to life, others are likely tall tales, but every last one is rooted in the music that the Bluesman, has been playing his whole life.
