We have an incredible >show coming up for you tomorrow, and you won’t want to miss it!
We’ll have as our special guest Dr. Robert “Mac” West, an evolutionary biologist who will be the featured speaker at next week’s Science Cafe in honor of Darwin’s 200th birthday.
Dr. West also is the author of a feasibility study for the Rockville Consortium for Science about the idea of creating a Rockville Science Center.
Just go here to listen on Friday at noon. Or call in at 646-200-3332.

I love science, I believe in order and reason. I have a degree in engineering.>
But the more I live, the more I see, I am more and more convinced that there is no way we “evolved” from monkeys.
Oh, evolution is a fantastic theory, and fits perfectly with so many observations. But just as I can put up a wall made of synthetics and have it look like brick, an intelligent Creator can create something and then make it appear that any number of processes took place over a great deal of time.
There’s just nothing even close to humans on the species tree. As we saw this week, even Chimps, the closest thing to us genetically, are more prone to eating our faces than they are to building a road or a hospital or a library.
And no, I’m not some hard-over fundamentalist who thinks Creationism should be the only thing kids are taught in school. Math, like evolutionary theory, is another tool we use to understand the universe of an intelligent creator. We teach math, so we should teach evolutionary theory.
Just my 2 cents…
