Fresh Face Announces Run For Rockville City Council
We first reported here that Craig “Trapper” Martin had “pulled papers” to run for Rockville City Council. Now, our friends at the Gazette are running a story that he’s officially announced his candidacy:
Newcomer Craig “Trapper” Martin said he is running for a seat on the City Council to bring a fresh perspective to the elected body.
“I really just want to be a representative of East Rockville and kind of the next generation of Rockville,” said the 33-year-old resident.
Martin is the district manager for the restaurant chain Noodles and Company, managing stores in Rockville and Northern Virginia, and has lived in Rockville with his partner for five years. He moved to Rockville from Colorado where, before working for Noodles and Company, he served as mission coordinator for a mountain rescue team for seven years.
Trapper has been threatening to come to our monthly Rockville Roundtable lunches, so maybe we’ll be able to see him at the next one on June 23!
(The link at the Gazette article doesn’t work, the right link to Trapper’s site is here.)

Hello there everyone. Just wanted to point out a couple of things from this article. I have been with my partner for 3 years and also will be appearing on the ballot as Trapper Martin since that is actually my name instead of a nickname as the article might apply. I am looking forward to the Roundtable and have it pencilled in my clanedar for teh 23rd
Look forward to meeting some of you there.
Thanks for the corrections, Trapper. You will never again see those “nickname quotes” on this website!
Sorry one more correction. The website as you know is trappermartin.com not .org. I will contact Nathan since I believe he will be the new Rockville reporter. Talk to you soon.
Yes, our link is the right one!
The gazette messing up the little details is as likely as the sun rising each morning. Though I do find the paper worthy of the price I pay for my subscription each week.
