On Friday, August 7, I participated in my second White House Teleconference on Health Reform Care through the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, with local officials from around the nation. We received a great deal of information, as participants shared their stories, and many of the myths surrounding this complex subject were addressed. We were all encouraged to keep in touch with White House Health Reform officials, and to continue our grass-roots efforts, particularly with the local media, which I will be doing in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the posting, Ms. Robbins. Hope to hear more details here about what’s being done. Ken Sandin of Unitarian Universalist Church of Rockville (UUCR) has also been very involved with this issue (along with other churches and groups in the area), and I’m sure would be interested to know about your work and also work with you on this important issue.

Well isn’t that something……..we should keep in touch with WH officials to find out the truth about Obama’s health reform. I’m only a 15-yr old kid on my mother’s dialup puter but folks……Obama is lying to us when he says that we will be able to keep our current health coverage and also our Medicare coverage will not shrink……flat out lies!!! First, if your employer opts out, so does your coverage disappear. Second, when huge numbers of folks are added to Medicare, how can that not result in rationing of already in short supply doctors/coverage.So, Theresa……what do you say to that!?
