I have also been waiting for Verizon Fios….I’m so tired of Comcast raising my fees and their poor service. I had Comcast broadband (I’m the 15 yr old on my mother’s computer) and service kept going off every 2 weeks and couldn’t get it turned back on until Comcast came out to tell me that the outside box needed fixing……ad infinitum. So I went back to the dark ages……(like so many of your readers?) and went back to dial-up……at least it’s reliable albeit slow as you know what. We can thank former Mayor Larry for keeping Verizon out of Rockville for so long…….Interesting stories there too…I asked Mr Perzchala during last campaign about that and he flatly told me that he agreed completely with t he Mayor…..ain’t gonna vote for him nohow. Also, The Maestro accused me of being paid by Verizon to pester him to finally vote Verizon in…….ain’t gonna vote for him nohow either……..what’s a 15-yr old kid to do? And what is Comcast up to now…..anyone know what our M/C discussed re that in Exec session? Have a wonderful day, y’all!!!
Winding Rose Drive, my street, was on the construction schedule for April 2009, but I still can’t get FiOS here.
We have FiOS now (East Rockville). Really don’t see a difference from when we had DSL, right down to the inability to record on the digital “recorder,” and possibly with less accessible customer service. (Still better than Comcast’s, tho. :-\)In other words, it’s not turning out to be “all that.” *grin*
Anyone know the status of the Rockville Town Square regarding FIOS? The apartment management does not appear to know anything.
