One of the things I heard at a recent Council meeting is that the merchants haven't done much to promote the garages, which they promised to do in exchange for the relief on parking rates. The City needs to ride herd on them.I don't drive every day, but I drive occasionally, and I would park in the City garages if they had a competitive daily rate. But when I tried to park there a few weeks ago, the parking attendant told me that the Rockville garages do not have an all-day rate.
