Electronics Retailer hhgregg Hiring; Slated to Come to Rockville Circuit City Site
Indiana-based electronics retailer hhgregg has announced that it plans to hire up to 500 DC-area employees to support its planned ten new stores to open this fall. Many of these stores will be occupying sites vacated by Circuit City when it liquidated last year.
The retailer said it would be holding separate job fairs for each proposed store.
hhgregg said it plans to open a Rockville store among this fall’s openings, at 1501 Rockville Pike (indeed, the old Circuit City store). The Rockville job fair will be at the Legacy Hotel at 1775 Rockville Plaza, Rockville, MD 20852, July 19 – 21 from 9:00am – 7:00pm.

Wow. When I saw “hhgregg” in the article title I thought someone had made a typo. Or hacked the site and typed in gibberish. It’ll be nice to have that space filled. Let’s all remember In many parts of the country, that space would sit unleased for…years perhaps. Our shopping centers seem to have a very low vacancy rate.
LOL Andrew…I was parked by the store the day the sign was going up and joked with the guys in the bucket truck that they’d committed a typo; they didn’t laugh with me.FYI hhgreg is Henry Harold and Fansy Gregg from Indianapolis and started in 1955, You can read more at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hhgregg.
Excellent news! BB needs some competition around here.
