Your Google map links do not work. If you want to share a custom map, then you cannot simply copy the link from your browser’s location field.

You need to click on the word “Link” in the upper right-hand side of your custom map. That will open a dialog box that includes two URLs, called “Paste link in email or IM” and “Paste HTML to embed in website”. You must use those links if you want to share your custom Google map with others.

If your link includes “maps/mm?”, then it will not work for anyone else. The correct link will include “maps/ms?”

Thanks, David, it was a different kind of error than the one you describe. I am generating the map off of a spreadsheet. I forgot that the link actually needs to be to the spreadsheet and not to the resulting map. So the usual “link” technique (which I know) does not work in teh same way. I am also trying to embed the map itself into the post, which for some reason sometimes works with this spreadsheet method, and sometimes doesn’t.

Thanks for bringing the broken links to our attention.

Great! It works for me now.
    Thanks for creating the map.
It is very helpful — I like it a lot.
