Support Restaurant Week By Joining Rockville Central For Dinner
You’ve asked for it, so here it is! For over a year we’ve invited readers to meet us for lunch, which we dubbed Rockville Roundtables. Often we’ve heard requests for a dinner-time gathering, since many of our readers don’t work in or near Rockville during the day. In order to support Rockville Restaurant Week, we’re finally inviting you all to join us in the evening hours.
Meet us at La Tasca on Thursday, October 7, 2010. We’ll gather at 7 PM to give everyone plenty of time to commute and arrive. Hopefully the Town Square location will make it easy for Metro rail commuters. During Restaurant Week, dinner is a set price of $25 per person at La Tasca, so you’ll know what to expect. If you order any beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, they will be extra along with the tax and tip.
We don’t have an agenda or any speeches, rather we invite you to come and discuss what’s important to you and meet each other in person. It’s that simple. You don’t have to RSVP in advance, but if you think you are coming, please let us know: hello@rockvillecentral.com.
Rockville Central is happy to support Rockville Restaurant Week from October 4th until the 10th when special prix-fixe menus, priced at either $8 lunch/$15 for dinner or $10 lunch/$25 dinner are offered by participating restaurants.
If you are wondering about La Tasca, here’s my recent review.

i’m bumping this thread back up with a question. we’ve apparently lost another restaurant in town center–bobby’s crab cakes. and not quote TC, but baci is also gone of late.
here’s some chatter on bobby’s:

Yes, Bobby’s Crab Cakes has not been open for a few weeks.
Baci went out of business on July 15th. I explained in the comments to this post: http://rockvillecentral.com/2010/07/join-the-kiwanis-club-at-baci-thursday-night-7-15-2010.html/
Baci opened in Nov. 2009. I assumed it closed due to lack of business and so-so reviews. Maybe the lease mix-up was with a second management team?
