Slideshow From Phyllis Marcuccio Victory Party
There is a terrific conversation going on at this post, picking apart some of the implications of yesterday’s Rockville city election. More analysis will be forthcoming from some of our favorite observers.
In the meantime, though, here is a slideshow taken by Rockville Central friend Chas Hausheer at mayor-elect Phyllis Marcuccio’s victory celebration last night. Enjoy!

Rockville politics #FAIL
Hi Brad and Cindy
Very classy…nice job.

The Marcuccio victory party photos captured the great Rockville team that worked so hard the last several months to get Phyllis Marcuccio elected.
Chas, thank you for sharing the slide show since all the team was unable to attend at the party. The election results came in later than expected.
Rockville Central did an excellent job in keeping Rockville voters informed on the City Election events and allowed citizens to voice their opinions.
I’m disapointed to see a staff member at the party. I would think that would be a huge conflict.
Who might that be? Just asking
I would like to thank Chas for taking the photos for Rockville Central. Since we couldn’t be everywhere at once, I enlisted him as a “Blogger Correspondent” for Election Night and he did a great job!
That was a very touching slide show submitted by Chas. If you would like to see more of his lovely pictures you should look at them on the East Rockville websight by going to eastrockville.blogspot.com And at spotted.gazette.net there are more pictures of the same party Chas shot for Rockville Central under the title Phyllis Marcuccio wins Rockville Mayoral Race. For this you must scroll down to the bottom of the page. Above it you will see some nice pictures of Susan Hoffman and Mayor Marcuccio. Enjoy! Stewart Bowman
There were two Rockville staff sent by the City for TRC 11, also a reporter from the Gazette and another photographer from the Sentinel. No one else that I know of was Rockville City staff.
Chas and the Gazette photograher did a wonderful job of documenting THE MOMENT when Phyllis found out she’d won! Priceless.
John Moser works for the City and was at the event! I would think that would be a HUGE no no.
Have the TV station staff there on legitimate city business is fine. But a staff member hanging out with a candidate socially? I would think that would not be allowed.
Andrea John Moser is co-chair of Cultural Arts Comm, and was a lobbyist at one time to Annapolis. I do not believe that either draws a W2.Many serve on committees with no stipends paid. However, you may know more!!
I want to set the record straight
I do not know Andrea Adams—obviously, she does not know me.
From 1997 until 2000 I was the lobbyist for the City in Annapolis while, I might add, also being on the Cultural Arts Commission. This was never considered a conflict of interest , as was attested to by the then City Attorney Glasgow.
I am the current Chair of the Cultural Arts Comission, which has 10 other members who (just as I) each volunteer at least upward of 15 hours a month to provide recommendations to the MC on the state of the Arts and Humanities in the City. No, none of us get paid- we do it because we care about the City.
If Ms Adams think that makes me a City “staffer”, she is sadly mistaken..
And , just to set the record straight, I have known Phyllis for more years than either of us cares to remember, I worked on her campaign and we both care for Rockville.
And hanging out with people is not my style!
