>This community event listing is a partnership between Rockville Central and Helen Triolo’s Rockville Living. The main source of the listings is Helen’s database of events. We are very excited about this new collaboration; watch this space for more about that.
Don’t see your event? Got an upcoming event you want considered? If you would like your community event to be listed, you must submit your request through Rockville Living using this form. That will get your event considered for publication in Rockville Central’s events listing and also included in Rockville Living’s Calendar.
We need your help collecting and posting events — that is how this resource will get better and better. Use this form. It’s easy.
We publish event listings occurring in & around our coverage area (map) on Thursdays. The inclusion of events is at our discretion.
Pick of the Week:
MTC presents Honk! at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater I had the great pleasure of speaking with cast members Jackie Rogers and Eitan Sayag. When I asked why everyone should go to Honk! this weekend, they and their friends at MTC’s summer camp chimed in with plenty of reasons! “It’s a creative, fun, and timeless show. It has a very strong message about accepting people for who they are and teaches a lesson. No one should care what you look like. It’s what inside that counts.” Kathy Cohen, F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater manager, just assured me that there are still tickets available for both shows. Don’t miss it!

Upcoming Rockville Events
Many >Rockville Central readers have come to look forward to and depend on our weekly Thursday feature, Cindy Cotte Griffiths’ Weekend To Weekend, which rounds up the next two weekends’ worth of Rockville happenings. I know a number of people who print it out and post it on their fridge!
As part of our commitment to the DC summer slowdown, W2W will be taking a brief vacation while we retool and figure out how best to get events information out to the community. As you might imagine, it’s a ton of work compiling all those listings and we want to devise a way of both making it easier and also making the listings more comprehensive.
Watch this space for more on that. Soon you’ll have a way to enter your own event information.
In the meantime, the best place to go to find up what’s up is to check out the calendar at Rockville Living, which is maintained by Helen Triolo. Helen is a good friend and we are always happy to figure out ways to send folks her way!
Once again . . . here is the Rockville Living Calendar.
My pick? Sleeping Beauty by the Rockville Civic Ballet, Sunday afternoon at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre. Here’s a bit more on the RCB.
