Car show’s canceled! Rain looks like a sure thing…

  2. Cindy Cotte Griffiths

Does this mean we aren’t having the Car Show this year? Or will they try to schedule a second rain date?Glad people will be able to make it to the our candidate forum!

Hot off the City presses: “This year’s show will not be rescheduled. Next year’s Antique and Classic Car Show is scheduled for Oct. 16, 2010. “

The candidate forum went off without a hitch and Brad and Cindy did a great job.Seems there were 70 or so people in attendance, and we were treated to thought-provoking questions, varied ways of questioning and lots of good discussions that were surprisingly funny at times.I’ve attended or watched 4 forums and saw many candidates open up as never before. The people I talked to really seemed to enjoy it and said they learned a lot. It was videotaped and should be online at some point soon.Congrats to Brad and Cindy and their sound/video team, timer, etc. Next time you must be among the televised debates!

Thanks Theresa! I appreciate knowing what people thought about the forum and I’m glad it was a useful session. Thank you for helping with the refreshments and setup. You played an important role because we had lots of requests for coffee and donuts!

  6. Jonathan in NMC

I don’t know if people realize it but Brad and Cynthia paid for the entire event out of their own pockets: from coffee and krispy kremes to the room to film to the honorarium for the timer. -Jonathan “Yellow Card / Red Card” Smithps. Ok, so I didn’t get an honorarium, but you get the point!
