National Night Out is Aug. 3

The 27th annual National Night Out is scheduled for tomorrow — Tuesday, Aug. 3.

This is an evening when neighborhoods all around Rockville hold block parties where neighbors can get to know one another and sen a public message against crime.

Rockville mayor Phyllis Marcuccio will visit a number of block parties, along with members of the Rockville city police and (of course) McGruff the Crime Dog. It’s a fun, wonderful way to spend a summer evening. Times vary, but mostly they start at 5:30 or so and last until 9:00. They’re your neighbors — just show up when it seems right!
