I got a note this morning from Uy Hoang, who is co-founder of the Rockville Athletic Sports League. The note was informing me that flag football was coming to Rockville!

This sounds like a lot of fun to me. Here’s what Uy says: “We’re pretty excited to bring flag football here and think it’s going to be the start of something great.” Love to see that enthusiasm!

Anyway, leagues are beginning to form now and you need to be 18 or over to play. This looks like a great way to meet others, have fun, and mingle.

Thanks for the great write up Brad. I also want to mention that it’s co-ed, so all guys and ladies are welcomed to come play!

Sounds like a lot of fun. There hasn’t really been outdoor flag football in Rockville for adults. I’m excited!

Maybe if the teens had somewhere to go after 9:30 when all of the recreation and parks activities end. We could use a Midnight Madness type program at the Twinbrook Center, the Lincoln Park one or the brand new one in Fallsgrove. We have put a lot of money into those facilities and they are nothing more than rentals/party centers. Maybe we should stop worrying so much about money and look into how much we could save in lives.
