This gorgeous shot is by Julia Defino Leiby. Of it, her mother, Theresa Defino, says: “For years we admired the dreamy quality of the mannequins in helen’s bridal shop on n. washington street. julia captured this one, which is featured in richard montgomery high school’s 2010 literary magazine. it seems the shop is out of business now. i wonder what became of this ‘woman?’”
we have friends who moved from rockville 10 years ago and they still ask if that mannequin continues to live in the window!
