We’re happy to announce an important forum coming up on December 2 at 7:00 pm, sponsored by the Rockville Human Rights Commission. The forum is on human trafficking and human rights abuses — and how they affect our lives right here.

Human trafficking and modern slavery is among the most pressing humanitarian problems on the globe. There are currently 27 million slaves in the world, more than at any time in human history. And, it is not just a “foreign” problem. It happens right here in Montgomery County. Locally, many of the human trafficking problems are related to the sex trade and domestic service workers.

Join Lee McClure, Outreach and Research Coordinator of Free The Slaves, and Stephanie Gonzalez, Case Manager for the Anti-Trafficking Program of Ayuda, for an informative conversation on December 2 at VisArts in Rockville Town Center.

For more information, call 240-314-8316.
