January ended and if you haven’t purchased your Rockville Rewards Card, you’ve missed out on another month of specials:

January 10-16: 20% off at Timpano’s
January 17-23 save $25-$90 with specials at Aveda
January 24-29 50% off platter order at Bean Bag Catering
By contributing $25 to one of 15 area non-profits, you can join this community effort and have your very own Rockville Rewards Card. These local organizations need your help and this is a fun way to give it. Along the way, you can also discover Rockville businesses and receive a discount.
With the purchase of a card, you’ll continue to have access to Everyday Rewards and Weekly Hot Deals through June 30, 2011. The sooner you make the contribution, the more you can save and experience in Rockville. There are almost 70 Everyday Rewards and you won’t believe the restaurants, services, retail, health & beauty, activities, and events offering specials!
If you hurry, this week has a double duo of savings with a Rockville Rewards Card:

I just did the 50% deal at Bean Bag Catering for my son’s second birthday party. We saved, no joke, $220 on sandwiches and platters for the weekend’s festivities. The food was delicious, and the staff? They couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly to work with. I didn’t know about them until I got the weekly email from Rockville Rewards, but I’ll definitely use them again in the future.
Thanks everyone, from a grateful, local mom!
Lindsay
Oh I agree about Bean Bag! I used them for lunch when I planned a 200-person conference and the sandwiches, salads & cookies were delicious. Everyone was impressed and their delivery charges are very affordable compared to other local shops. It’s definitely worth the trip to Gude Drive for lunch even if they aren’t the Weekly Special!
I purchased my card from the Montgomery County Humane Society so that I could help the animals at the shelter. I’ve used my card several times at one of my favorite Rockville restaurants — Potomac Grill.
I use my card just about everyday for lunch. It has more than paid for itself since I started using it. So it looks as though those restaurants that are part of the program are getting more business and those who are not are being left behind.
Capital Bank also has the cards available
I had a great outing yesterday with friend and our toddlers. We went to Color Me Mine in Rockville Town Square and painted some birthday gifts, complete with kid handprints, and then off to Ben & Jerry’s for $3 scoops for $3. I purchased the card from VisArts, as I love the work they do for the community. In one outing, by taking advantage of the weekly hot deals, I saved $24 at Color Me Mine, and $6 at Ben & Jerry’s…already covering the cost of the card, in just one afternoon.
I just got my card last Friday and haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but have plans to meet a friend for lunch (at a Rewards location, natch) next week. Even if I don’t get the full value back in discounts, it was worth it to support a worthy local cause. Win-win-win…
