>Alert from Montgomery County Police Department:

(October 8, 2008): Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Family Crimes Division seek the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old babysitter and 18-month-old toddler from the 100 block of Gibbs Street in Rockville who were reported missing yesterday.

The toddler’s mother called police to report that her cousin, Regina Monique Abraham, age 15, was babysitting her 18-month-old boy, Makhi Abraham, at 9:00 a.m. yesterday morning. The mother returned at 10:00 a.m. and both were missing. Regina Abraham has not been in contact with family members, but both were seen at an acquaintance’s home in Landover Hills, Prince George’s County, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Regina Abraham has run away from her home in Washington, D.C. in the past.

Regina Abraham is described as a black female, 5’7” tall, weighing 120 pounds. She has a light complexion, green eyes, and straight, shoulder-length, sandy brown hair. She was last seen wearing a red t-shirt with gold writing on the front, blue jeans, tan Timberland boots, and a red baseball cap with a white “W” on it. Makhi Abraham is described as a black male, 18” long and weighing 25 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, olive-colored sweater, and blue jeans. They have and may be using a dark gray stroller with silver reflectors and a child’s GAP-brand green backpack with orange straps.

Since it is believed that the two are not traveling in a vehicle an Amber Alert will not be issued.

Anyone who has information concerning the whereabouts of Regina Abraham and/or Makhi Abraham is asked to call the Family Crimes Division at 240-773-5400 or the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000. Callers may remain anonymous.
